The Kingdom of God: Jesus as the King of Kings Part 2

Every time you are at an altitude of knowing who Jesus is, you will be flying so high in life. Develop an attitude of knowing this Jesus, and you'll fly so high in life that you'll see your problems as tiny "objects".

Ephesians 1:19-23
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Sitting in Christ in the heavenly places is a place of security and confidence. We are untouchable as long as we are seated with him in our rightful places -- in the heavenly places, in Christ. If you collide with the devil, then you are in the wrong place. The enemy is in the right place, you're the one who has shifted your altitude -- you have to go higher.

We are not fighting a battle - it has already been won. If you understand your position, that everything is under your feet, then you will not need to fight. You cannot defeat the devil because Jesus has already defeated him. Your assignment is to remind the enemy what Jesus did on the cross, 2,000 years ago. Your assignment is to enforce the victory that Jesus won over the enemy.

If you see anything not under your feet, you are the one who is the problem. God placed ALL things under our feet and your assignment is to keep them there.

Philippians 2:5-11
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus was not killed -- Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice. The world was given to Adam (Genesis 1:28), who betrayed the sovereignity of the Kingdom, and gave the dominion to the enemy. Jesus came back to take what Adam gave away.

The Jesus we're talking about is He who at one point lacked money to pay taxes and knew which fish had the money to pay the taxes for him and for Peter (Matthew 17:27).

Jesus is a high priest who was tempted as we are, so that He may be able to sympathize with us.

Heb 4:15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus was a man, full of the Holy Spirit. We can do what Jesus did, when we are full of the Holy Spirit.

v. 9
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

Jesus' name is above every name. Every problem, sickness etc. has a name and Jesus is above them all. It doesn't matter what that problem is and will be, the name of Jesus is already above that name (even HIV). If what you are going through has a name, the name of Jesus has power over it. You can use that name to speak to every problem you have, and it will obey the name of Jesus.

v. 10
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

Wherever your problem is (in heaven, on earth or under the earth), the name of Jesus has authority over it. You should not worry about what the enemy can do -- just use the name of Jesus and your problem will bow.

v. 11
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

"Lord" means "master", "owner", "adonai", "ruler". Every tongue must confess that Jesus is the owner, master, ruler and adonai over them.

John 11:28-44
28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him. 31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. 34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?”
They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”
35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”
37 And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”
38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”
40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

The Jews believed that the spirit of man can only live in a dead body for 3 days. If Jesus came earlier than He did, then the Jews would have concluded that Jesus was only able to raise him up because he was in a coma, or was unconscious.

Jesus is a miracle worker, but he NEVER rolled away the stone. What stone (obstacle) is standing in the way of your miracle? Is it a stone of doubt? Roll it away, remove it, then let Jesus stand in front of your problem. If Jesus was never brought in front of the tomb, Lazarus wouldn't have risen again. Bring Jesus in front of your problem/situation. Whatever is impossible/dead in your life has ears and can hear, so allow Jesus to speak to it. Allow Jesus to do what only He can do, which is bring life to the dead situation/problem.

We have the power of an attorney given to us by Jesus, and we can use His name on His behalf and every problem/obstacle will give way. The name of Jesus is powerful, at this name everything gives way in obedience.

Know who Jesus is.
