Encounter with Jesus

We have got the new wine that has been released in this season, by God. May our hearts be broken by the Lord, to kick out anything that may hinder us from receiving the new wine.

Matthew 9:17 (also Mark 2:22, Luke 5:37-39)
Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

There is an old lifestyle that cannot cope with the new lifestyle; old thinking that cannot cope with the new thinking (Romans 12:2). As God restores Hs people, we should not be stuck in the past. When you encounter God, He transforms your life. Desire a manifestation of the Lord, and He will touch you and make you hwole. Do not joke with encounters with the Lord; they turn your life around.

The greatest encounter a human being can get is through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This is the same power that caused Samson to kill 1,000 with a jawbone; same power that was with Moses in Pharaoh's presence; with Joshua as he led the children of Israel. Being filled with the Spirit gives you victory. We cannot live ordinary lives while we have the capacity to live extra-ordinary lives.

John 20:22
And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Just like Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on the disciple we can ask Him to breath on us. The breath of life can turn our lives around.

John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Luke 24:49
Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Do not rush to do God's will, until you receive power - that which will enable you t do what God wants. Wait on God until you receive power. Tarry in God's presence until you get power. Until you get in, you will live ordinary lives. With this power, our fasting will have a difference; and so will our walking style and way of live.

God wants to breath on us a new life. Desire the power of the Spirit flow within, above all properties. This power within will cause people to admire you. Do not desire power just temporarily; get power to represent the throne on the face of the earth.

When the Samaritan woman received this power, she got a new life. This power cuts off the past life of wickedness. Do not walk out without the power of the Spirit. This power will make people stand when you step in, as they respect the one inside you. Power makes ordinary lives extra-ordinary.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God has power and authority, and has given it to us. Because of this power and authority, God will avenge us.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

A defeated church is one which works with no power.

1 Corinthians 2:6-11
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

What's in store is that which has already been granted, but we do not  have yet - here on earth. We should pray that our eyes, ears and hearts be opened to perceive what God has prepared for us.

Amen.
