Getting Deeper

Our God is a God of more than enough. He is a God that moves us from minimum to maximum.

If you want to know who you are in the kingdom of God, you have to commit yourself, seek His face and walk with Him.

Daniel 10:1
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. The message was true, but the appointed time was long; and he understood the message, and had understanding of the vision. 2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks.3 I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Daniel had the spirit of excellence, wisdom, focused, purposeful, full of integrity, full of the Holy Spirit, and he feared the Almighty.

Whatever Daniel did, he did it with excellence, until the king testified about him.

We should desire to have and walk in the spirit of Daniel. Are we determined to serve our God?

This month of May is a month of miracles, so we should not miss out on God’s package and purpose from this month. The word that God has spoken to you is for an appointed time. God speaks, and the word He speaks is true, but it is for an appointed time. It may take long, but it shall surely come to pass:

Habakkuk 2:2-3
Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,
that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

By the Spirit of God, Daniel was able to discern the times and the seasons.

After 21 days, it seemed that Daniel had nothing tangible to show, nothing that could be seen by the physical eyes. In the eyes of man, the 21st day is the worst day; in the eyes of God, it is the best day. In the spirit, you have a word to keep you going, but in the physical it seems like you still do not have an answer.

Daniel 10:4
Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris,

Do not focus on the 21st, 22nd, or 23rd day; move on to the 24th day. Let’s move on to the river, on the 24th day. Let us move on to the river, which is a symbolism of the Holy Spirit. Psalm 46:4. On the 24th day, make a decision to go by the river, as Daniel did. Even when we get to the river, there are levels of going in (Ezekiel 47). Let’s move from the shallow end, where there are gossips, filth etc. Let’s get to the knee level, where we go down on our knees, and pray to possess. Let’s move on to the waist level of the river, which is the belt of truth (Eph. 6:14). At this level, we stand on the truth of God’s word. Unless you move from the ankle level to the knees then on to the waist level, we will have a difficult life. After this level, we need to get to the shoulder level, where we cannot walk; here we can only swim. Let us swim in the Spirit of God. The deepest part of the water is the cleanest and the quietest. This is where you have peace. It is quiet, a place where you will be receiving revelations; dwell there.

Daniel 10:5-6
I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! 6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.

Right at the bank of the river, Daniel lifted his eyes, looked up, and saw that man. You cannot see the revelations of God at the shallow waters. You can only operate under open heaven and see the man clothed in linen, on the 24th day, at the deep level.

If you always listen to the voices of the people, you will never hear the voice of God. If you want to hear the thundering of God’s voice, go to the river (Psalm 29:3-4). Rivers are found at the deep places of the earth. Going down to a river is getting on your knees.

Daniel 10:7
And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

As we move as a multitude, people may not see or testify to what you are seeing or testifying.
When Daniel saw the vision, some people ran away. Even when Jesus was arrested, the disciples ran away. Do not run away, until you see the vision come to pass. Do not be ashamed of the terror of the deep levels. The men did not see the vision as they also did not go down to the river, with Daniel. Go to the river individually.

By the river, there is a birthing. When you go down to the river, the pride has to go, as you have to go down. Bitterness, anger and pride have to go as you’re going down, for you to see the vision come to manifestation.

Daniel 10:8
Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength.

Shame, disgrace terrors etc. may come, but walk until you see the manifestation of the vision, and the end of the vision. The church of God is not a monument, it is a movement. People fear being identified with problems, shame, structureless things, but we will remain. Our strength may go, but we will remain to see the end of the vision.

Daniel 10:9
Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.

This position Daniel was in, the position of having his face to the ground, is the position of giving God worship. The strength may go, the terrors may come, but remain in the position of worship, and you will hear the voice of the Lord.

Daniel 10:10
Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.

As we wait on the Lord, in a position of worship, alone, the Lord will come and touch us.

Daniel 10:11
And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.

If we give up on the 21st, 22nd or 23rd day, we will miss out on what God is just about to do in our lives. A breakthrough is just about the corner. Sometimes we give up, but it is when we hold on to the Lord that we will encounter the Lord.

Daniel received the word when he stood up, trembling. We will receive the word when we are standing.

Daniel 10:12
Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.

Do not fear, whether it is lack of money, calamity, spirit of poverty, bondage, terror etc. Let us stand on this promise today, tomorrow and every other day, not to fear. There are over 7,448 promises of God in the Bible, and 365 “do not fear” promises/ statements. There is a “do not fear” promise for everyday. We need to stand on God’s promises every day, and not fear.

From the first day you purposed to seek the face of God, your words were heard by God, who lives forevermore. If you have been praying God and waiting on Him, you were heard on the first day. He heard us from the first day. If the man came to speak to Daniel on the first day or even before the 21st day, he’d have stopped his praying. Let us hold on up to the 21st day, as something is just about to happen. Continue praying, until He comes and says you have been heard. Do not give up; do not move from the position of prayer.

Daniel 10:13
"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

The answer is there with your name. In every month, there is a package for you, for the whole year. We need to seek God so that we do not miss out on that which God has packaged for every one of us, for every month.

As we wait on God, we will never be put to shame (Joel 2). Do not worry; it is not your cause. He has your answer, He has your reply.

From the first day Daniel prayed, till the 21st day, Daniel’s package was held from him. We need to ask God what the prince of Persia is withholding from us. For some of us, it is heavy and wonderful packages that we are missing out on. Let us do some warfare and get the prince of Persia to release everything that is written our names. Let us ask God to help us destroy the prince of Persia, as God is able to send a Michael to your case.

Daniel 10:14
"Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come."

Daniel was praying for a supernatural power to foretell the future.

Daniel 10:15
When he had spoken such words to me, I turned my face toward the ground and became speechless.

Your answer and future depends on what we are today, and what we are doing today. You can shape your destiny, and that of your family and children, today. God will never ask the opinion of people to determine your destiny. When God means to bless you, He comes straight to you and kicks off everything standing in your way of blessings.

Like Elisha, we need to hold our peace. When God is about to do something for you, hold your peace, do not go talking about it to people, as they might be a hindrance. You are the only one who saw the vision, so be careful who you share the vision with, as the Spirit leads. You are in a battle; you cannot be careless. Have discernment on whom to share with regarding a sensitive issue/ vision that God has spoken to you, unless the Spirit of God leads you to share with someone in order that they may stand in prayer with you.

Holding your peace like Daniel will help you receive from God, alone. When you read chapters 11 and 12, you see that Daniel went on to deliver the vision. Elizabeth also in Luke 1 kept quiet on her pregnancy, till 6 months were in fulfillment.

Daniel 10:16
And suddenly, one having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, "My lord, because of the vision my sorrows have overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength.

The first thing that God does is touch your lips, to ensure there is no filth in you. In Isaiah 6, after prophesying for a while, Isaiah realized that something was wrong with his lips, and that’s when God touched his lips. When God touches our lips, He ensures that only His word proceeds from our lips, only words seasoned with grace (Col. 4:6).

When God touches our lives, we die daily. As we die daily, let us remain dead, so that we can be Christ-like, a Christian, taking after Christ. Daniel was virtually dead, when God touched his lips. A person who responds to attacks physically is still alive. Let us remain dead as Daniel, to allow God to respond/ fight on our behalf.

Daniel 10:19
And he said, "O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!" So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me."

As the word is repeated again that we need to fear not, I also exhort you not to fear. Jehovah Shalom is in the house, we need to have peace. When God says “fear not,” “be strong,” and “be strong,” we shall be strengthened, and these will help us stand strong as we wait for the manifestation of the vision God gave us.
