It Is I
So Be It
I believe God is speaking to us today about
Himself. It is one thing to enter into the land, and another thing to remain in
the land. God has brought us into the land, He now wants to establish us in it.
But the mighty man possessed the land, and the honorable man dwelt in it. Job 22:8 NKJV
For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it. Proverbs 2:21-22 NKJV
"...For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.” Deuteronomy 32:47 NKJV
God promised Caleb to enter the land, and his
seed to possess it. Since it is the mighty, honourable and upright man who possesses the land and dwells in it, Caleb qualified to do so.
“Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel." Acts 7:23
The Bible says that IT came to the heart of
Moses to go to his brethren. “That thing” came into his heart, and could not
allow him to remain in the house of Pharaoh, but to leave and go back to his
brethren. At 40 years, that thing came into his heart. After 40 years, before
the burning bush, God came to him and told him to go back to his people to
deliver them, and told him to tell them that I AM WHO I AM had sent him (Ex. 3:14). As Moses
and the children of Israel journeyed through the wilderness, at one point
(Exodus 16) the people started grumbling to Moses.
Exodus 16:1-36 (Read)
The people of Israel ate but didn’t know what
they were eating, and they died. Jesus talked of the same in John 6, and said
that though they had been given and died, He shall give them of which they’ll
eat and not die. It is not our portion to die in the wilderness and have our
story end there. They ate and didn’t understand what it was they were eating. The
understanding comes as we cross over to the Promised Land.
Matthew 14:13-36, Mark 6:30-56, John 6:1-21 (Read)
The story is about Jesus. After He sent them
two by two and they went and ministered, saying they’d seen demons depart, He
took them to a place they could rest. As they came there, there was a multitude
of people. Jesus then started teaching the Word, then later fed them, thereafter sending them away. He first sends his disciples away who get in a vessel as He disperses the multitudes. As He was praying, He saw the disciples toiling
and rowing in the sea. They could not get to their destination (Capernaum,
which means the place of comfort), as a contrary wind came against them. There
was opposition against them. The ship in this text represents the fellowship of
believers. When Jesus wants to cross over, He needs a vessel.
In Matthew 14:19, the Bible talks of the
multitudes sitting on the grass. The people sitting on the grass is a picture
of the people feeding on Manna in Exodus 16, since people are likened to grass
(1 Peter 1:24). In Exodus 16, God talks of raining bread upon His people. Whenever
we hear the Word, we are ground. God wants to rain upon us and shower us so
that we can be fruitful. He sends the revelation through the teaching of the Word.
Jesus fed the multitude, which is a picture of the Father feeding us with His Word.
They ate according to their appetite (need). How is your appetite for the Word?
"But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27 NKJV
God wants to bring His people to the place of
comfort. There is that opposition that has come against His people. The enemy
has arisen against His people like a flood, but God is raising a standard
against him. The people have been toiling and praying, but there seems like
there is an opposition, a barrier standing before them, forces coming against
them. The revelation that Jesus is in the midst of the church is what will get
them to where they are going. Jesus told Peter that it was not flesh and blood
that revealed Him to him, but the Father. When we get the revelation of Jesus
in our midst, we’ll go far and get where God wants us to be.
God gave
Jesus a revelation of Himself from the Father, for the people. He fed the
people with bread from the Father. If Jesus needed a revelation of Himself from
the Father, who are we to think we don’t need it? God wanted to feed His people
and gave Jesus His bread, to give to the apostles. Jesus commanded His apostles
to feed only the men who were sitting. God is feeding those who are seated. God
is disconnecting His people from the people who are disorderly. God is a God of
order. He is not a respector of persons. The same way Judas’ head was
disconnected from his body is the same way God will disconnect us from the
people who have been hindering us from the move of God, the people in our midst
who are against the purpose of God in our lives. What God wants us to do is
only for His glory. He wants to disconnect some certain illegal positioning, as He wants to enter the family. He says every Jubilee every man shall return
to his family. God wants to reorder His house, take who are in our house that
are not supposed to be here to their house and bring back those who are
supposed to be here. In this season God is reordering His house, putting things
in order. In this season He is causing bone to meet its fit. God is reordering
His house. When God wants to bless us, He reorders His house.
John 6:1-21 (Read)
God told me to tell you that the ship is
getting to land immediately. That thing that has taken time from the first
watch to the fourth watch is coming to land immedaiately. God has released His
people into freedom. The enemy had also released his forces to try frustrate the move of God, but God will frustrate the
chariots of the Egyptians, by removing their wheels. God is not a Liar. He
wants to bring His people into His destiny. Whatever was trying to stand in the
way of God’s move in His house is being frustrated by God. God has moved His
people by acceleration before, but now He says it is immediately. Immediately the
disciples got a revelation of Who Jesus is, they got to where they were going.
Luke 24:13-45 (Read)
The revelation of God comes in form of
teaching. Manna came in form of dew, and when the dew evaporated there was
manna. The revelation comes from God’s Word, when God rains His Word upon His
people. Jesus identified Himself to the disciples. No one and nothing on earth
can operate without flesh and bones. Whenever God wants to move, He uses a
body. This is why He came through a body (Heb. 10:5-7).
The Spirit of Jesus rests upon us. The Spirit
came in bodily form, through Jesus. Today He comes through you and I. Jesus
said that unless the seed falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone; when
it dies, it multiplies (Jn. 12:24). Jesus died and multiplied, and today He lives through
us. You and I had that seed of Jesus in us, the moment we received Christ. That
seed has been growing, until now we become mature, start operating, acting,
thinking etc. like Jesus. When we get this revelation, that Jesus is in us and
His seed has been in us, the gates of hell will no longer prevail.
God is depositing a seed in you right now. In
the things of God we are maturing. He keeps depositing His seed in us until we
come to maturity. God does this through the teaching of His Word, through His
Word. The Spirit of God operates in and through us. Whenever Jesus wants to
move, He uses a body, a ship. We are His body, His ship. God needs a body.
Jesus was limited as one body, and moved within the territory of Jerusalem
alone. Today we can go further than Jesus went, which is why Jesus said that we
shall do greater things. The church is a vessel whereby God can begin to
deposit Himself upon people. When the time comes He releases His people, who
walk around doing wonders. Jesus was one; we are more and can do greater. He is
in us.
The Bible says that meat belongs to those who
by sense of reason have exercised their senses to discern both good and evil (Heb. 5:14). Jesus asked His disciples
whether they had any meat. They gave Him a piece of broiled fish and some
honeycomb. He then said to them that “...these are the words which I spoke to you
while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were
written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” Lk.
24:44 NKJV
In the Psalms, it is about an experience. David
had had an experience of God’s Word. There are different dimensions,
from the law, prophets and the Psalms.
And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Luke 24:45 NKJV
God says clearly that He wants to open the
understanding and eyes of His sons and daughters. That opposition that had come
against the church of Christ is being defeated because the eyes of His sons and
daughters have been opened. God says as He heard the voice of Elijah, He is
hearing our voice today. God is saying that He is gathering His people to our
own. The people of God are being brought together. The family of God is being
shaped and ordered right. God is saying that we will outrun the chariots of Ahab.
The chariots of Ahab went ahead, but Elijah came from behind and overtook him.
You will not be overtaken. That thing that was frustrating the move of God has
been frustrated by God today. The revelation of God that is coming upon you is
what causes you to overcome.
