AN OVERFLOW ( BY APOSTLE MARY)

 47 Then he brought me back to the door of the [a]temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. 

The angel of the Lord brought Ezekiel to the temple to reveal to him and to us His will and His desire: that we may get to the point of overflow. Why did the Lord use water? He could have used other symbols but he chose water, why?Water represents life(Romans 6:4), cleansing(Ezekiel 36:25), the Holy Spirit(John 7:38-39, John 4:14), provision(Exodus 17:6, Psalms 23:2) Understand why God chose to use water.

In the vision the water progresed in different levels; from the ankle, to the knees, to the waist and finally it becomes a river that cannot be crossed. 

Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. 

Every level is an opportunity to grow and learn and sink deeper in the spirit.Each stage is for us to experience the love of God and draw closer to Him. So then how can we experience this overflow, how can we move into the Spirit's leadership?

  • Tarrying in His presence- reading the word, prayer and fasting
  • Obedience
  • Cleanliness
  • Fearlessness

Overcoming the Enemies of Our Destinies

There are enemies ready and armed to prevent us from getting to our destinies. Wherever there is a vision, there is opposition.  Elisha was given by God to Elijah as a servant, and as a result he received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah's life, when Elijah left (2 Kings 2:15). God in turn gave Gehazi to Elijah as a servant, who sadly could not get to his destiny because he was overcome by the enemies of destiny (2 Kings 5:20-27).  As a Christian, be alert as there are enemies out to hinder you from getting to your destiny, and walking in it.  In John's open letter to the churches in Asia, John addresses these enemies: 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. Giving: First Fruits

Last week we started to talk about giving, and looked extensively at tithing. I believe we now have more knowledge on this topic, and we will enjoy tithing and the benefits of the same. Today I want us to look at first fruits as a type of giving, and then later look at giving as a whole and learning about how to give cheerfully.
