KNOWING AND DOING THE WILL OF GOD.

 The Lord created each and every one of us with a purpose in life. It is His desire that we walk in what He had planned for us before He had laid the foundations of the world. who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began(1 Timothy 1:9)

How then can we know the will of God, how can we be alligned to His will and divine purpose in our lives. To answer that question the Bible first teaches us against foolishness and ignorance.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is( Ephesians 5:17).

When the Lord taught His disciples how to pray He taught "your kingdom come your will be done on earth as in heaven". The Bible says that there are books in heaven about us( psalm 139:16 Hebrews 10:5-7) books that are written about us and our lives.

So then the question is how do we know the will of the Lord? How do we know that we are in allignment with God's will? Well the first thing is to accept the Lord into your heart and your life.(1 Timothy 2:4) The next thing would be to get intimate and close to the Lord. Those whom you love and treasure you desire to please them and make them happy always, and if it so with the Lord in your life then you will desire that His will becomes your will and His ways your ways.

Let the Lord take control of your life and He will align you to His wll.(Proverbs 16:3). Allow the Lord to work His way in you and through you and He will manifest Himself to you.

Giving: First Fruits

Last week we started to talk about giving, and looked extensively at tithing. I believe we now have more knowledge on this topic, and we will enjoy tithing and the benefits of the same. Today I want us to look at first fruits as a type of giving, and then later look at giving as a whole and learning about how to give cheerfully. Overcoming the Enemies of Our Destinies

There are enemies ready and armed to prevent us from getting to our destinies. Wherever there is a vision, there is opposition.  Elisha was given by God to Elijah as a servant, and as a result he received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah's life, when Elijah left (2 Kings 2:15). God in turn gave Gehazi to Elijah as a servant, who sadly could not get to his destiny because he was overcome by the enemies of destiny (2 Kings 5:20-27).  As a Christian, be alert as there are enemies out to hinder you from getting to your destiny, and walking in it.  In John's open letter to the churches in Asia, John addresses these enemies: 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world.
