The Kingdom of God
Your understanding of the Kingdom of God will give you a distinction in the world.
You are a part of the Kingdom. Until you understand the Kingdom you are part of, you will always be at the mercy of the enemy.
Every kingdom has a king, citizens, ambassadors, a constitution, an army, a code of ethics, etc. You have to understand your role in the Kingdom of God, and all the Kingdom has to do with. You have to understand who you are in the Kingdom. You are not a part of an army, and therefore you are not expected to fight (the angels are).
Jesus never came to earth a day late or early. He was on time. Since the prophesy of the coming of the Messiah by Prophet Isaiah, God waited for 600 years before sending His son down to earth. Still, He was on time. Jesus came to restore that which Adam lost.
Matthew 13:19
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.
The enemy is worried when people understand the message of the Kingdom. The message of the Kingdom is key in the lives of every Christian. The Kingdom of God has a lifestyle and a code of ethis.
Genesis 1:26.
Then God said, “Let Us make
man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over
the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle,
over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
The first assignment that God gave to man was to have dominion. Dominion comes from the Greek word "Basilia" which means "sovereignty", "rule". Adam lost the ability to rule, the ability to govern the earth on behalf of God.
Christians talk about heaven so much that they become useless on earth.
The original purpose of man was not going to heaven. It was to have dominion. Jesus came to restore that which man lost, through Adam - dominion.
Jesus succeeded where Adam failed. Jesus said no to deception from the enemy to disobey by gratifying His hunger, by turning the stone to bread (Matthew 4:3-4).
Jesus never came to bring a religion. Religion is a man-search for a deity. Religion makes you tolerant and comfortable.
We are not here to take sides, we are here to take over.
Miracles are the normal operative ways of God. Understanding the message of the Kingdom of God will ensure that you walk in the normal operative ways of God, that you walk in miracles.
The difference between the church and the Kingdom is that the church is in the Kingdom, but the church is NOT the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is greater than any individual church.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Your pursuit and understanding of the Kingdom of God is the doorway to the Kingdom of God. Seek to understand the Kingdom of God, how it operates.
Where is this Kingdom?
The Kingdom lives inside you. You are the head office of the Kingdom (Luke 17:21).
Seek to understand the dominion of the King and His righteousness. Righteousness means "right standing." Seek first to understand the domain of the KIng and how to stand right.
Psalm 115:15-16
May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
Your immediate need is not to go to heaven, just as a small baby's immediate need is not getting married. Your immediate need is to have dominion. You cannot survive in this universe without being a ruler. God has given us a responsibility here on earth.
Psalm 8:3-6
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers. The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels[a], And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
- Psalm 8:5 Hebrew Elohim, God; Septuagint, Syriac, Targum, and Jewish tradition translate as angels.
We are gods. God has given us dominion over every thing. Whatever is not under your feet is not God's problem - it's yours.
The message of the Kingdom helps you understand who you are, and the ethics of the Kingdom of God.
Know who you are.
