Prayer With Results

Like Paul, we should be determined to get results in what we do, such that he said he does not fight as if he is fighting against the wind (1 Corinthians 9:26).

I want to teach you principles of the kingdom of God that when you use them you will walk with courage, expecting results. It is very important for every Christian to pray with an assurance and confidence that when you ask you will receive, as God does not have a problem to answer our prayers.

Time has come that we stop opting for short cuts and quick miracles, we do things the Lord's way, for Him to get the glory. It cannot be prayer and waste of time at the same time; it is prayer, fruits and difference. The fruits cannot be hidden; what God will do through prayer cannot be hidden, it will be visible for all to see.

When the disciples noticed that all of Jesus' prayers were being answered, they went to Him and asked Him to teach them to pray, and He did. Today let us allow the great Teacher, the Holy Spirit, to teach us. Have confidence that ask you will receive, the sky will be your limit, and you rheart will turn from getting worried, and you will hold on to the one you have Trusted.

1 Samuel 1:8-13
Then Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

9 So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the Lord. 10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. 11 Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”

12 And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. 13 Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. 14 So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!”

15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. 16 “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” 17 Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”

Hannah knew that where she was was not her position. Peninnah mocked her for long, until Hannah realized that where she was was not where she was supposed to be, and decided to arise. Hannah realized that she did not belong to the company of the barren, arose and went to seek the Lord. She open her heart to the Lord and in anguish and bitterness, making the promise to the Lord to return the son God would give her to the Lord.

Arise from the crowd. People who will have impactful prayers must arise from the crowd. There are times you will have to arise from the crowd and go alone to seek the Lord. You must purpose to say that that thing that you want no man can give it to you but the Lord, and make a decision to seek the Lord.

If Hannah did not conceive in her spirit, she would not have conceived in the physical. Keep doing what you are doing; you will conceive in the spirit. Let them say that you are drunk, but you keep what you are doing, seeking the Lord.

A woman like Hannah who decided to seek the Lord alone tells us that there is a moment it got to that what she needed was bigger than her husband.

This one time Elkanah knew the wife and she conceived. Have you purposed to be desperate enough for your miracle? If you are desperate enough, you will cry out to the Lord as your only source of help.

1 Samuel 1:20
So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.”

Whatever is of the Lord will be defended by Him. Because Samuel was asked of the Lord and was dedicated to Him, he lived up to fulfill His purpose. What name are you calling your baby? What name are you calling your miracle? We are constantly birthing miracles, so what will you call your miracle? If you call your miracle of the Lord, it will be associated with Him and dedicated to Him. Identify things of God with His throne.

Last Sunday we talked about the children of Israel; God answered them and today we just saw that He answered Hannah. There are impactful prayers, and there are non-impactful prayers. It is painful to spend year after year and your life on the earth comes to an end and all the prayers you have prayed have bore no fruit. Just as it is painful for a chicken to lie on eggs for 21 days and hatch no chicks. From today everyone must purpose that every prayer they make to God bear fruits.

We see another example of impactful prayers in the book of Acts 12:5-19, when Peter was locked up. The church prayed until Peter was released, in a way that he thought he was dreaming. Even those who were praying for him were shocked to see him. The prayers of these people who were in Mary's house bore results.

James 5:16b
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Are the prayers we have been making impactful? Are they bearing results? May God helps. Because God is not a respector of persons and shows no partiality, what renders those prayers effective, as we have seen, and renders other prayers non-effective?

How can you be that person who prays prayers that bears fruits?

1. Pray always in the will of God. How many Christians know the will of Gpd? How many know how to know the will of God?

1 John 5:14-15
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Jesus is waiting for you to know His will, align your needs according to His will and receive what you ask. This is the season of asking and receiving. What's your petition today? Is it His will?

We cannot ask anything that contradicts the will of God. Is it the will of God for a woman to get a baby? Hannah knew the will of God, and asked. Is it the will of God for you to walk, eat well and drink well? Do you know what God's will is, or are you asking because people ask? Whatever the will of God is, ask according to His will. Our Father has everything.

Romans 8:27
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Do you know and are persuaded that God is able to do that which you are trusting Him for?

James 1:6-8
