Fan Your Victory

Your victory given was already given, but you have to fan it. Today we're going to discuss principles for fanning our victory, that will help us see God’s victory in our lives. There’s where we’re supposed to be, what we’re supposed to be doing and so on, but the question is, are we there? Jesus promised us that if we believe in Him we’ll do what He did, and even greater things (Jn. 14:12). There are three things we have to do however, to see the victory:

1.  Stop glorifying the devil, and start glorifying God:

How many times do we see Jesus talking about the devil? He rarely preached to crowds and to His disciples about the devil, His focus not being on him. From today, we must stop glorifying the devil, and start glorifying our Lord. We glorify the devil by the utterances of our mouths. The devil feels good when we start showing him that he’s very big in our lives, at the slightest things he does in our lives. A time has come and the church has to look at the truth that God has given us in the Scriptures, which is what sets us free.

We don’t share any network with the devil. We need to acknowledge our Father as our authority, just like a small child talks of their father or teacher. We have already been rescued from the kingdom of darkness:

For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son... Colossians 1:13 (AMP)

When we put in practice what we’ve been learning as a church, putting in practice His principles, then we’ll experience greater manifestations in our lives, seeing His power. God removed us from the kingdom and dominion of darkness. We should always talk of the authority and Dominion and Kingdom that is over us. Our dominion is not the kingdom of darkness, but the Kingdom of great light. We must talk more of the Kingdom to which we belong more. If this be our Kingdom, let’s wake up and walk speaking about the Kingdom we’ve been called to. Let’s associate with people of the same Kingdom as us. We must be a people that’ll be known by the Kingdom we belong to.

When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross. Colossians 2:15 (AMP)

God disarmed the devil of all he held on and against us, and through the cross He made Christ triumph and trample over all these principalities. This means we no longer belong to this kingdom.

And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus... Ephesians 2:6 (AMP)

God found us down at that position that we occupied in our sins, separated from God. He has now raised us up and sat us together with Christ high above all principalities. If this is so, why do we keep talking of the kingdom of darkness and the low places where we were?

If you always want to be full of God, you have to keep glorifying God. Tell people how God has clothed you, took you to church, and protected you and so on. People who will always glorify God are the people who will always fan their victory.

Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]... Ephesians 5:1 (AMP)

If we have to imitate Christ, let’s check how many times He mentioned the devil in His ministry and sermons. When it comes to the devil let’s do what Jesus did. Let’s be who the Father predestined us to be, and accomplish His purpose on earth. Let’s talk more about Jesus.

Some people have been scared of the devil just because we’re told he walks around like a roaring lion. He’s not a real lion; he walks around like a roaring lion (1 Pet. 5:8). We’re told to resist him, and submit to God (Jam. 4:7-8). When you’re resisting someone you don’t talk about them. Even when it’s the worst in your situations, stop reporting of what the devil has done; start saying that the situation as it is will be sorted out by God Who will make a way where there seems to be no way. Start glorifying God and what can do, and your life as a Christian, and your life will take a 360 degree turn.

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Romans 16:20

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. Revelation 20:1-3

When the devil starts to remind you of your situation and his works, remind him of his destiny, that he’ll be bound and cast to the bottomless pit. Let’s us not associate with a defeated foe.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11

Let’s overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" Matthew 4:10,

Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude 9,

"Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out..." John 12:31

"...of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged." John 16:11

The devil has already been defeated.

2. Crush Unbelief from your life

This is another principle that will help you represent God as you should. What hindered Moses from entering Canaan is unbelief. He “deserved” to enter Canaan, having walked with God for a while and seeing the manifestations of God’s power through miracles, doing many miracles and so on, but at the end failed to see the Promised Land.

Read Numbers 20:1-13

If we're to walk in the victory that God has already given us, we have to resolve in our hearts to fight and keep fighting unbelief. It is and will be a major hindrance to us walking in victory and seeing God glorified in our lives.

3. Regard the spiritual authority that God has placed over you

For the Lord to help us fan the victory He’s given us, whatever authority God has placed over us needs to receive regards. If you don’t value what those God’s put over you say, you’ll miss out on the breakthroughs and victories God has already given you. If you’re at a place of worship and don’t regard who God has given authority over you there, please let God show you where to worship where you’ll honour and regard those He’ll place over you.

Obey your [spiritual] leaders and submit to them [recognizing their authority over you], for they are keeping watch over your souls and continually guarding your spiritual welfare as those who will give an account [of their stewardship of you]. Let them do this with joy and not with grief and groans, for this would be of no benefit to you. Hebrews 13:17 (AMP)

I call us to submit to the spiritual authority that God has placed over us. When people dishonour or disrespect the spiritual authority placed over them, they lock their blessings up. Don’t talk against or behind the backs of those people God has placed over you. Stop complaining about your spiritual authority; pray for them, or shut up. I am warning us with love, as I don’t want us to stagnate in our walk with God. It’s not even about the devil and what he’s been doing as some of us have been thinking; it’s about the doors we’ve opened in our lives by speaking against those God has placed over us.

And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you... 1 Thessalonians. 5:12

"Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Acts 20:28

Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Hebrews 13:7

Numbers 12:1-16 (read)

Then Eli answered and said, "Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:17

By honouring those God has put over us, we fan the victory that God has given us. Time has come that we live the lives God has called us to live.
