JOURNEY BEFORE GLORY

WHAT IS GLORY?
Glory is defined as honor or magnificent beauty won by notable achievement.
Most people desire glory yet they do not want to sacrifice and achieve. What they do not understand is that there is a price to pay before glory sets in.
Let's look at the life of Jesus Christ and the price He paid.

Philippians 2:5-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Humbled and Exalted Christ
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it [a]robbery to be equal with God, 7 but [b]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Light Bearers
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure..

Before Jesus Christ got the highest Name above all names, He paid the price(death on the cross).
Acts 2:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
33 Therefore being exalted [a]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

Similarly, Christians must be ready to pay the price(working out their salvation according to the Word of God).
2 Timothy 2:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
Before the winner celebrates the medal/glory.

As a believer:
Have you counted the cost?

Brethren, never forget that the glory has the price of denying self and taking the cross to follow Jesus Christ. This is why you cannot live like anyone else in the world because of the cross.
