Waiting on the Lord

Have you ever reached a point in life where you have tried everything (prayer, fasting) and now you have nowhere to go or nothing else to do?
Believers, God in His Word speaks of waiting on the Lord in several chapters and verses in the Bible. The process of waiting is not easy, ask Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb. It took him 1000 unsuccessful attempts for that one breakthrough whose invention is still used up to date. Let’s look at several verses that talk about waiting on the Lord.
Isaiah 8:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
And I will wait on the Lord,
Who hides His face from the house of Jacob;
And I will hope in Him.
Brethren, purpose to speak this Word in your life when you are wondering what to do next in your life?
Let’s look at another verse.
Isaiah 26:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lord, is [a]everlasting strength.
God’s power never ends and is never defeated. At the right time He will come to your rescue and elevate you to greater heights.
Now, the next verse is one of my favorites, why? Because it clearly shows me that my own intellect, power, ability (call it as you may) cannot get me out of my situation but only God can get me out of my situation.
Proverbs 3:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
The next two verses gives me assurance that the Lord answers the cry of the saints at the appointed time.
Psalm 40:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
Faith Persevering in Trial
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
40 I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.

Habakkuk 2:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

So, believers, I pray that message encourages you and gives you hope and strength to continue waiting on the Lord for once the appointed time has come, it’ll be worth it to you.
This message of encouragement was shared by Sister Catherine Njeri. A devout believer of Jesus Christ and a member of Teaching Transformation Ministry.
Be Blessed
