It's Time To Say No To Deception and Manipulation Part 3
Deceiving spirits and doctrines of
demons
1 Timothy 4:1
Now
the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits
and doctrines of demon
Friends, we are living in the last
days and some people have departed from the faith and are giving heed to
deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. The statement "Now
the Spirit expressly says " in this Scripture is in the present continuous tense. This implies
that the Holy Spirit is still saying how some are departing from faith and
giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. To deceive is to mislead by false appearance
or statement or to falsely persuade others. To fall into the trap of this
deceptive entrapment, one has to be a participant through ignorance. This is
why the scripture says that some will depart, meaning that there still remain
faithful remnants who are into the doctrines of faith.
Deceiving spirits
The purpose of these spirits as
their names indicate is to deceive people from following and obeying the truth
that is in the word of God. These
spirits mislead people into believing falsehood or settling for less than what
God has paid for them through the cross. The spirits deceived Eve in the
Garden that if only she eat of the forbidden fruit she will be like God.
Genesis 3:4
Then
the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows
that in the day you eat of it your
eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Eve did not need to eat of the fruit
to be like God! The scriptures show clearly that God had already created them
in His image and likeness. Nothing on the part of Eve was needed to make her
like God. Through creation God had settled this fact!
Genesis 1:26 - 27
Then
God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the
cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the
earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created
him; male and female He created them.
The devil succeeded, through
deception, to convict Eve that she was not complete and that she needed
something more.
Eve did not need to eat of the fruit
to be like God! The scriptures show clearly that God had already created them
in His image and likeness. Nothing on the part of Eve was needed to make her
like God.
The devil succeeded through
deception to convict Eve that she was not complete. Even today many are being
deceived to believe they need to do religious rituals to be like God! Lie.
Paul in his letter to the
Corinthians said: -
2 Corinthians 11:3
“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his
craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in
Christ.”
Friends Paul's fear is daily
manifesting in the church with men and women's mind being corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ. This simplicity is well stipulated in Paul's
letter to the Romans.
Romans 10: 8-13
But
what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”(that is, the word of faith
which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.
“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all
is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord
shall be saved.”
The Scriptures says, For
with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The key is that everything that we will ever receive from God
has to be believed in the heart.
This is why Paul is calling it the simplicity that is in Christ - for all our
miracles are tied to our ability to believe with the heart. Jesus Himself said:
-
Mark 11:23
For
assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast
into the sea,’ and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have
whatever he says.
Jesus clearly indicates that every
child of God can receive those things they say with their mouth only if they believe.
Friends it is important to understand clearly what Paul was writing
to the Romans to enable us to walk in this simplicity that is in Christ.
For
with the heart one believes
unto righteousness - this means that through believing with the heart we get the right
standing (legal right) to receive everything that Jesus paid for through the
cross.
God has
established the Laws through which His kingdom operates. Everything that God
does in the earth has to be believed in
the human heart (spirit). It important to understand that for every woman
who would want to bear a child, conception
is a must. Every woman's womb
has to be fertilized with a seed to bring conception.
Jesus in
Mark 4:14 said, the sower sows the word. So everything you will ever need from God you must sow the seed, which is the
word of God.
“Now
the parable is this: The seed is the word of God” - Luke 8:11
The word of God is the seed that must be
sown for every desired outcome. As a seed the word of God is the
sperm that fertilizes every human spirit.
Bible calls
the word of God the incorruptible seed.
This means that as a seed the word is guaranteed
to produce and bring results. It cannot be corrupted by anything because of
its nature as being incorruptible.
1 Peter 1:23
Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but
incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
As it is in
the natural so is it in the spirit. The human spirit (heart) is the womb that
has to conceive everything that you desire to bear!
Luke 8:15
But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who,
having heard the word with a noble
and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
The
scripture says that the ones that fell on good ground are those who, having
heard the word with a noble and
good heart, keep it
and bear fruit with patience.
The truth is that it is undeniable that the ground to which the seed fell is a noble and good heart. It is well stated that the seed fell though hearing
the word. Note that it did not say
through buying of anything or sending any person money to pray for you! But
through hearing the word.
As a requirement the scripture
indicates that the seed fell on a good and noble heart. For so many years
people have tried to change external things, blame demons and others for their
calamities, but their heart is the problem. - It is the heart that brings forth
good or evil things!
In today’s preaching we are made to understand on how
we can pay to receive instant microwave miracles! Every pregnancy even after
conception has to be developed!
It is important to pay attention to
the words Jesus as he said, having heard
the word with a noble and good heart,
keep it and bear fruit with patience.
Jesus said
that once the word is planted in the heart through hearing, it has to be kept in the heart, as it will bear fruits
with patience. Friends I do not deny that God can perform instant miracles, but even then
someone has to believe for it. This is demonstrated in Mark 11 when
Jesus cursed the fig tree. The scripture says that,
Mark 11:20-21
Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree
dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The
fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
The effectiveness of the miracle was
not because Jesus said, but that He was well developed in the ability to
believe and conceive whatever He says! We know this to be true because when the
disciples seemed amazed by how fast it happened.
Mark
11:22-23
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to
this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have
whatever he says.”
Jesus’ statement
is key to today's church! "Have
faith in God!” As Christians, our faith should be on nothing else but God. Many individuals are putting faith
on objects that are not themselves God. Our foundation as Christians is based
on faith in God and Him only. Putting
faith on objects like anointing oil, handkerchiefs, etc. is idolatry.
We have
established that the seed and the ground and it is important to identify the
way into which the seed is sown. The seed is sown into your heart through the speaking of your mouth.
So according
to Paul's letter we can comfortably say that it is with the heart that man
believes into whatever he desires and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.
The Greek word Sozo, translated save or saved means to save, to make whole, to
preserve, or make safe. Thus the word salvation is an all-comprehensive word
and it includes in itself all the benefits of the Cross-, and the operations of
God’s grace in the believer's life.
The Bible says, For with the heart
one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. Thus
from the meaning if the word salvation - a man
can believe and talk himself into all the benefits of the Cross.
Glory to God
that you do not have to go through a broker or intermediary - you can believe
into every aspect of life.
Jesus made a
great statement that: -
Matthew 12:35
A good man out of the good
treasure of his heart brings
forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth
evil things.
According to the words of Jesus the treasury
that brings forth good or evil things is a man's heart! So it will be
right to say that your heart is the account, which you withdraw whatever
miracle or promise you desire. I know people have been taught perverted truth,
but ordinarily you can only draw money from your bank account in accordance
with what you have deposited. To go to the bank to draw what you do not have
will be termed as forgery and cannot work.
There are
many who have been deceived to believe if they buy anointing oil, handkerchief,
or bags of sand etc. from the church they will receive miracles. Friends I do
not deny the supernatural, but for God to answer and to allow you to get the
miracle on something a preacher sold to you will make Him a liar. He will have
to violate His Laws.
For whatever
you need from God - get the seed in the Bible and after you conceive start
waiting to birth your miracle! It has to
come from your heart.
The laws of
God will never allow you to overdraw. You will get what your heart has believed.
The Bible says that all things are possible to those who believe!
Mark 9:23
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are
possible to him who believes.”
Jesus never
said that all things are possible to those who have handkerchiefs, oil, etc.
but to those who believe. Believing
is in the heart and it come from the word not gimmicks!
This law is
demonstrated by the miraculous birth of Jesus. When God wanted the savior born
in the universe He had to look for a woman who will cooperate with His divine
laws.
When the
angle Gabriel visited Mary he told her that she shall bear a Son. This promise
had for many years been spoken by the mouth of prophets but was waiting for the
vessel.
Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit
will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you;
therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
On the part
of Mary she was required to believe
in the heart for the supernatural birth to take place. Mary by faith
believed the message and said "Let it be to me according to your word." What Mary was saying is that “I allow
my heart to be fertilized by your word!”
Luke 1:38
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it
be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
It is
rightful to say that Jesus was conceived in Mary's Heart before He was
manifested in her physical womb. The scripture clearly backs this truth as it
says: -
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and
truth.
The word
only became flesh after it was conceived in Mary's heart!
For any
miracle that your will ever need you have to follow God's law. Even God Himself
was not an exception when He wanted to bring His Son! He had to be conceived in
a woman's heart.
Once the
seed is sown, it will need to be watered and nurtured through the word to bring
true results.
On the
contrary, the doctrines of demons teach otherwise. Men and women are convinced
to believe that if they buy anointing oil, handkerchiefs, bags of sand, etc.
they will automatically receive their miracles. Many have ended up in the path
of frustration and regret thinking that the word of God does not work.
Friends it
is not the word that has a problem. It will
be out of the ordinary for any woman who is not married to buy anointing oil
and put it in the house to deliver a miracle of a baby. This woman's womb
must get into contact with a seed for conception. Likewise to believe that
anything sold by to you will deliver a miracle is to simply say that God will
break the spiritual laws to agree with the deception of the devil.
For whatever you need from God, locate
a seed in the Bible and sow in you heart. The scripture teaches that faith comes by
hearing and the word of God.
Romans10: 17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God.
This helps
us understand that anyone who wants to have faith must hear and hear the word
of God continually. It does not say that faith comes by buying anything from
the pastor; it only comes from hearing the word as it is inscribed in the Holy
Bible. Friends, do let anybody deceive you or lure you off your resources. Stop
looking for those businessmen who are out for money!
Look for a teacher and a preacher
who will teach you the word. That is all you need! Following those who don't teach you the word
is like defying the natural and expecting oranges from a thorn tree.
The Bible
has given warning that there
will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies.
2 Peter
2:1-3
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers
among you, who will secretly
bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them,
and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their
destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time
their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
I was one
time listening to a group of unbelievers express how they cannot waste time
watching Christian television. They claimed that many of those on television
were deceivers and business motivated. Though their remark may stereotype every
preacher on television, it is true that these preachers are those who the Bible
refers to when it says “And many will
follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be
blasphemed.”
2 Peter
2:18-19
For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they
allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have
actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty,
they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by
him also he is brought into bondage
I was
listening to the news one day and heard that one preacher who was a perpetrator
of these doctrines was in court due to marital issue. On being interviewed he
said that he divorced and remarried traditionally as his faith allowed him to
be a polygamist. Friends this individual had hundreds of people looking upon
him for prayer, deliverance, direction etc. There is no way any blind person
can lead the other people into finding direction. This man was living in
adultery and is promising others how he can deliver them.
A friend
told me a story how they went to a crusade in a certain town in Kenya. Their
pastor was very drunk and had to be supported into the platform. Interesting
enough the preacher announced to those in attendance that he was anointed to
bring deliverance to them! Sarcastically drunkards came forth for deliverance. The
Bible says:-
2 Peter 2:19
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves
of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into
bondage.
The question
to many who knew the pastor was drunk was, who will deliver the other, the drunken
Pastor or the drunken village man? This agrees with the scriptures when it
says,
2 Peter 2:17
These are wells without water and clouds carried by a
tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
Flee from them and save your life.
