Planted in the House

Psalms 92:12 – 15
12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
13 Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,
15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him


What does planted mean?

• To place or set (seeds, for example) in the ground to grow.
• To set firmly in position; fix: planted both feet on the ground.

What does flourish mean?

• To grow well or luxuriantly; thrive
• To do or fare well; prosper
• To be in a period of highest productivity, excellence, or influence
• To be at the peak of condition

What is the house of the Lord?

Ephesians 2:19
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

What is a church?

The Greek word "ecclesia" is translated "church, which literary means “Called out of summoned & assembled with a purpose.”

How Does The Church Affect Our Destiny?

A. God’s Purpose Is To Build The Church

Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

B. We Are Called Into The Body Of Christ

Colossians 1:24
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.

Ephesians 1:22
And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church

1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Ephesians 5:30
For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

C. The Church Is The Pillar Of Truth

1 Timothy 3:14-15
14 These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly;
15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

D. Every Gift Is Given For The Church

Ephesians 4:11-13
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,  
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ


You have to be planted, in order to fulfill the following purposes:

a.     To flourish in the court of God
b.     To bear fruits
c.     To bear fruit in old age

What affects the fruits?

a.     Environment
b.     Soil
c.     Nurture

Nothing can produce when uprooted. When we are uprooted, death/disconnection with destiny is what results.
