There is Hope for the Righteous

There are times you get to a point where you seem to be on the edge; it is at such a time that you need to put your trust in the Lord. What you see in the physical is evident in the spiritual. God allows leadership for His own purpose. When there is uncertainty in the leadership, it affects the land. When there is liberty in the physical, there is liberty in the spiritual. When the environment starts to decree freedom and liberty, the same is translated to the people.

The Lord surrounds those that fear Him the way the mountains surround Jerusalem. Even if all the resolutions you made in January have not come to pass, continue hoping. The disciples felt the same when they saw Jesus on the cross even after they had longed staying with Him all through. They got to a moment of hopelessness and desperation.

The third day, after Christ had been buried, the plan of God was still in place. He overcame the grave. Why are you cast down O my soul? There are times you trust God for finances but they seem not to come but suddenly the Lord surprises you with a financial breakthrough.

Hope in the Lord for all situations and challenges. Consider also Mary, the mother of Jesus. She saw her Son on the cross, and might have given up on hope of ever seeing her son alive. She must have been surprised when He resurrected. What you thought was long gone will start looking for you (job, friends and so on). The Lord was saving the best for the last. What you thought was your last, was just your beginning. When you think it is over, it is just the beginning.

Lazarus was dead for four days but even though Jesus was ‘late’ according to the worldly standards, He was still on time. He is never late. Mary and Martha were desperate when they expected Jesus to visit His sick friend, only for Lazarus to die before Jesus showed up. Christ was still on time. Lazarus smelled by the time Jesus came to the scene. Maybe your issue is reeking and stinking, but just as Jesus was not bothered by the smell, He is not surprised by or bothered by the condition of your situation. Just as He still commanded the stone to be removed, He is waiting on us to remove the stone off what we have labeled as dead, and speak His Word over the situation. The Lord is crushing hopelessness. The Lord will rekindle hope within somebody.

We need to put our trust in the Lord for if we put our trust in other things, it is all in vain. We are in the world, but not of the world. When we put our trust upon other things, they come to an end, thereby crushing our hope. As long as you have Jesus, you have hope for tomorrow. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. It is meaningless when we hold on to other things.

Holding on to the name of your denomination, or your pastor, who also needs the Lord, is void, for we ought to hope in the Lord alone. We need to attach ourselves to our Lord and Maker. Daniel lay with his head on a lion yet had hope. Shadrack and his friends had their hope and trust in the Lord.

Even with Moses at the Red sea, when the Egyptians were pressing and pursuing, he held on to the Lord and the Lord saw him through. We need to hope in the Lord at all times.

Psalm 33:20
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Lamentation 3:25
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

We cannot fake before the Lord. Sometimes we hope for the things of this world, and He knows what we are hoping for. He knows when we hope for the things of this world and all along He desires us to hope in Him.

There is hope for the righteous. Hope and trust in the Lord, and you will not be disappointed.

Blessings.
