Behold, The Love of God

The Command to Love
3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of [a]God! Therefore the world does not know [b]us, because it did not know Him.
Let’s explore other versions to expound the meaning.

Children of God Love One Another
3 See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Believer’s, the Love of God is the strongest fore that exists in this world and beyond. He gave Himself to the point of death for the sake of saving mankind. John 3:16
The Love of the Father goes deep without limits to mankind. Therefore, it is our duty to accept the Love of God which is given freely to man without limits or price tags.
John 15:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
Everything done with the Love of God is assured of victory. Whoever embraces the Love of God is the son of God and knows who God is.
1 John 4:7-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Knowing God Through Love
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:10-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Overcoming the Enemies of Our Destinies

There are enemies ready and armed to prevent us from getting to our destinies. Wherever there is a vision, there is opposition.  Elisha was given by God to Elijah as a servant, and as a result he received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah's life, when Elijah left (2 Kings 2:15). God in turn gave Gehazi to Elijah as a servant, who sadly could not get to his destiny because he was overcome by the enemies of destiny (2 Kings 5:20-27).  As a Christian, be alert as there are enemies out to hinder you from getting to your destiny, and walking in it.  In John's open letter to the churches in Asia, John addresses these enemies: 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world.
