James 1:2-4 New King James Version (NKJV)
Profiting from Trials
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:13-15 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
We have the liberty to make choices on how we want to live in this earth. God granted man the freedom to choose between what is right and what is wrong.
The devil, the adversary who comes to tempt man has one specific goal- to remove you from the presence of God and subdue you since you were given authority on earth.
Illustration of people who fell into temptation and consequences came to them
·         Achan- Joshua 7:20-26- Achan’s sin brought a calamity to all his offspring and possessions because of his choices
·         2 Samuel 11:2-5, read also 2 Samuel 12:9-13-Davis fell into the temptation (lust) and committed adultery and murder. His consequences trickled down to his family.
Believer’s, when we fall into temptation, don’t flee from God as Adam and Eve did,  rather go to God with brokenness and confess your sins for He is gracious enough to forgive us and help us go in the right path.

Hebrews 4:13-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Our Compassionate High Priest
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Be blessed
