On the Mountain
What does it mean to be on the mountain? Matthew 14:23 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. The scripture of today edifies us to walk this journey of salvation first individually (so as to grow in the Spirit) and in unison with the brethren (so as to edify each other) Today we are looking at the aspect of the journey of salvation alone. Understand that this does not mean not fellowshipping with the brethren rather it means understanding salvation on an individual level. There are instances in the Bible (illustration in the above verse) when Jesus Christ separated Himself from the brethren and went to pray alone on the mountain. Believers, there comes a time when you have to separate yourself from the crowd to personally pray and edify your spirit man. Disclaimer: this does not mean that the Spirit is not with us or fellowshipping ...
