Whatever God spoke shall come to pass(Three things sequel-The Pride of Life)
Book(s)
Numbers 23:19-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received a command to bless;
He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
21 “He has not
observed iniquity in Jacob,
Nor has He seen [a]wickedness in Israel.
The Lord his God is with him,
And the shout of a King is among them.
22 God brings them out of Egypt;
He has strength like a wild ox.
Nor has He seen [a]wickedness in Israel.
The Lord his God is with him,
And the shout of a King is among them.
22 God brings them out of Egypt;
He has strength like a wild ox.
23 “For there is no [b]sorcery
against Jacob,
Nor any [c]divination against Israel.
It now must be said of Jacob
And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’
Nor any [c]divination against Israel.
It now must be said of Jacob
And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’
The verse of today
comes from the story of Balaam (a messenger of God) and Balak (King of the
Moabites). Balack demanded of Balaam to go and curse the children of Israel but
God intervened and declared that Balaam cannot curse who God has blessed.
Let’s break down the
verses and discuss them brethren.
Verse
19
“God
is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor
a son of man, that He should repent.
Has
He said, and will He not do?
Or
has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Believers, this is
an assurance that whatever God speaks is final and cannot be changed by any
being (whether spiritual or mortal). Brethren, have this assurance that God’s
word in your life of ...” you are blessed, favored and loved” cannot be
thwarted by any man.

Any moment a
Christian fails to believe what God has spoken in their life is the moment that
is considered as pride of life (Refer
back to the THREE THINGS sermon 1 John 2:16).
Knowing what God has
spoken in your life believer then it is a must for you to BELIEVE. When you
believe in the completed work of the cross and walk according to the word of
God, then you have overcome the pride of life.
