Pursued, but not destroyed

God protects and preserves His gifts. Fear not you will not be destroyed, even though the enemy has pursued you left, right and centre.  Matthew 2:1- 23 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”  3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.  5 So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: 6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”  7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8 And

Ruth 1:1-22 Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, went to dwell in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons. 2 The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his wife was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion—Ephrathites of Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there. 3 Then Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4 Now they took wives of the women of Moab: the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth. And they dwelt there about ten years. 5 Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died; so the woman survived her two sons and her husband. 6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited His people by giving them bread. 7  Therefore she went out from the place where she was, a

Preparation for Destiny - Part 2

Brethren, when you hear God speak on same message repeatedly, it is for a reason. We have shared before on getting ready it’s time for take-off; preparation for destiny and we are still eager to hear what God wants us to know regarding preparation for destiny again. In case you missed previous message, you can go to previous postings and you will be blessed as you catch up. One of the reasons for the continuous call to get prepared, is for Christians to get ready for the Jubilee celebrations in Kenya. It is obvious that God is aware that we are about to enter a year of Jubilee as a nation. For those who may not have followed the history of Kenya, allow me to inform you that Kenya gained political independence on 12.12.1963. It is amazing how God works with numbers and 12 is one of the very significant numbers in God’s calculations. In heaven there are 24 elders who bow day and night worshipping the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The 24 signify 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples.

Preparation for Destiny

Last Sunday we agreed that no pregnant mother will wait for the baby without necessary clothes; no farmer will wait to harvest without first preparing the ground, planting and nurturing the crops; no international traveller will dare go to the airport for a flight without a passport a visa and other necessary papers and no student awaits to excel in exams without adequate preparation.  Indeed, there is no businessman, waits for profit if he or she has not invested any capital, business plan and time. In the same way, a bachelor cannot wait until the last minute when the wedding day has arrived to start worrying about how to go about the wedding. In the same way, we have to get ready as children of God knowing that God has already done His part. Jesus finished His part when He breathed His last and said "it is finished" (John 19:30). As Christians, we have to do our part as we enjoy and celebrate the finished work of the cross. We have to prepare for the year of Jubilee for K

Get ready; It is time for take off

It is time to be sensitive to the Spirit in order to understand what God is saying. Every Christian should now be so prepared to move as the Lord leads. An expectant mother does not wait until the last minute when she is going into labor to start looking for diapers, blankets et cetera for the unborn baby. Similarly, a student waiting to sit and pass his or her exams does not wait until the last minute to study for the exams. A farmer also does not wait until it rains for him to prepare his land, plant and still expect a good harvest. All the mentioned expectations require preparation in advance, to avoid being caught unawares and to ensure desired results. This is equally expected of serious Christians. We need to always be prepared for God's move and blessings. Some brethren wait for God’s move without adequate preparation and no wonder some are caught unawares while others miss on God altogether. It is OUR responsibility to prepare spiritually and do our part befo

Doing the Word Part 4

An airplane may not seem to be moving while it is in the air, whereas it is actually moving at very fast speeds. Your situation may not seem to be moving, but it is actually moving at very fast speeds as God is in control and working on your behalf. Do not use your eyes to judge the movement, as long as God is at work just be assured that you are moving. The only way you can successfully be a doer of the Word, is if you are always in obedience to the Word of God. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God..” “If” in the above verse means that the promise is conditional. Blessings do not come because of prayer, they come because of obedience. Obedience is
