Intimacy with God

Why did God create you? Why did He send His Son to die for you? Why did He even create Adam and Eve in the first place? The Bible tells us that “in the beginning God…" Genesis 1:1, meaning that God was there before the beginning. It is therefore clear that He does not need us, with or without us and the earth He is still God. So why did He create the earth and us? God does not need you, He wants you. God loves human beings, which is why He created us in His own image, that we can feel, think, decide, act and be just like Him. This way we can enjoy each other’s relationship. He created Adam and Eve to love them, to enjoy a relationship with them. Just like you would buy a dog or a cat to love him or her, He created us to love us and bring Him glory. When humankind failed to do this by sinning, He sent His son to mend this, give us an opportunity to once again have a relationship with Him, and bring glory to Him; an opportunity to once again experience His love, and

The Importance of Speaking the Right Words

If faith is a substance (Hebrews 11:1), it has to be built. It takes time and effort to build faith. Nobody will build your faith for you - you are personally responsible for growing your own faith. Jude 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, You have to build your own faith, and work out your salvation with fear and trembling - no one will do it for you: Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. You do not work for salvation, but you work it out. You keep building your faith.  As we said last Sunday, what you cannot see is more real than what you can see.  Proverbs 18:20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.

Looking at the Unseen

Many people say that seeing is believing. According to the Bible, the vice versa is true: believing is seeing. 2 Corinthians 4:18 ... while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Whatever you can see has the potential to change. If you can see it and touch it, then you can change it. If you can see a problem, you can change it! Hebrews 11:1-3 (AMP) Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].  2 For by [faith—trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for

Only Believe (cont...)

I want to show you a principle that, when applied in your life continuously, will lift you up above any situation. Based on a few scriptures on the Bible, this principle will ensure that you get breakthrough in every situation in  your life. Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” "If" is conditional. Note that the Bible does not tell us that all things are possible for Christians . All things are possible to believers.  Everything that God has said in His word is truth. There are two types of truth: Relative and Absolute. Relative truth is dependent on conditions. It is dependent on other factors. Absolute truth on the other hand is independent, and stands on its own. The Bible has absolute truth. Whether you believe in absolute truth or not, it remains to be true. The truth of the Lord is independent; if you believe in it, it will work for you.  If you talk of impossibilities, then you do not believe; you

The Effects of Praise

Jesus Christ not only knows how to save, but how to sustain. All things do not count; what counts is Jesus. Jesus is all you need. Let's learn a few things about praise. Who can praise?  Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Everyone is a candidate of praise. If you can breath, you owe God a praise.  What are some of the effects of praise? Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. When you start to praise, God inhabits your praise. Jehovah can transform the status of the one who praise Him. He inhabits in the praise of His people. When you start to praise, He takes His place in your praise.  Psalm 69:30-31 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, which has horns and hooves. Praise pleases the Lord more than sacrifice of any sort. When you praise God, He delights in it. Back t
