JOURNEY BEFORE GLORY

Image
WHAT IS GLORY? Glory is defined as honor or magnificent beauty won by notable achievement. Most people desire glory yet they do not want to sacrifice and achieve. What they do not understand is that there is a price to pay before glory sets in. Let's look at the life of Jesus Christ and the price He paid. Philippians 2:5-13 New King James Version (NKJV) The Humbled and Exalted Christ 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it [a]robbery to be equal with God, 7 but [b]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the eart

BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT

The life of every believer must be led by the Spirit of truth (that is, the Holy Spirit). In this sermon, we are going to look at the the 2nd part out of 4 of the journey of a believer in the Spirit. Before we go directly to the sermon, lets have a brief outline of the believers journey in the Spirit. Step 1: The 1ST stage of a believer(accepting salvation, the work of the cross) and grace is sufficient for the 1ST time believer. Step 2: The 2ND stage of a believer-Being Led by the Spirit. Step 3: The 3RD stage of a believer-Walking in the Spirit Step 4: The 4TH stage of a believer-Totally Surrendered to God  Being Led by the Spirit Romans 8:35-39   New King James Version (NKJV) 35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall  tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36  As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37  Yet in all these things we

What does it mean, as believers to say that we are planted in Christ? Before we embark on this journey, let us first understand the phrase “be planted”. This phrase literally means to be stationed on one place and cultured to develop or grow. Take for instance a plant; once a plant is in the ground, it is expected to take in nutrients from the soil in order to grow to a tree. This case applies to us believers when we accepted Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we were automatically planted in the kingdom of God and we need to intake the commandments and discipline from God in order to grow. To base this sermon with the scripture, let us look at the following scriptural verses; Psalm 1:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV) 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a t
