Many Christians have very little knowledge about God, as they spend minimal time with His word. Your victory is in the Word of God. In other words, he was being told to watch or be careful to follow all what was written. You may have been thinking that moving from where you are to a better place where people seem to be prospering is what will help you prosper. They do not know what is theirs according to the scriptures, and continue to buy miracles and giving in to false teachings.  The Word of God is the light that illuminates your life.
