Hold On

You are still in the plan of God. It's not yet over. Your life has not been written off. We are triumphing in Christ because He is in us, and He makes us triumphant. That is why we cannot afford to lose hope. That is why we have to hold on. Hold on to the unshakable fortress, Jesus. Do not with that it was easier; wish that you were better. What has come your way has come to make you better. Holding on to Christ ensures that you remain triumphant, and accomplish God's purposes. It ensures that you make the most out of everything that comes your way. All other ground is sinking sand, on Jesus the solid rock we should stand. Psalm 46:1-11 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Grace

Like we learnt last week, every Christian is obligated to know about the new life we were called to, when God chose us and saved us. We accepted Christ, we were made new creatures. In order to live the life that God called and intends for you to live, you have to understand salvation, what it meant, how it happened, what it accomplished. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. We were saved by grace, through faith. We needed faith to accept Christ. There are two kinds of faith: natural faith, and Bible faith. Natural faith is belief in what we can see, feel, touch, smell and hear, belief in the natural. Bible faith is belief in what we cannot see, feel, touch, smell and hear, belief in the spiritual. No one has seen Jesus die and rise again, no one has ever seen the love of God or God Himself, no one has seen salvation etc., yet we believed and accepted Christ. No one heard God or the angels appear and

Putting On The New Man

We have been doing a series titled "Renewing Your Mind", where we have seen that it is extremely important that EVERY believer renews their mind in order to enjoy the new life, and enjoy a relationship with God. Christianity can be summarized as a process of renewing one's mind, knowing God and releasing what God put inside us during salvation. It all begins with renewing of the mind.  Today we will talk about who you became when you accepted Christ. As we were beginning this series, we mentioned that we were once enemies of God, and in the kingdom of darkness. The most important thing and basic thing for every believer to do, in the process of renewing one's mind, is to constantly remind oneself of who they became when they accepted Christ.  The reason why we have so many Christians who accepted Christ but still continue to live defeated lives in sin is because they have never taken time to understand who they were, and who they have become now, and what is requi

Wait on the Lord

Before you make a decision, you must wait on God. Many times we pray and pray, but do not take time to wait on God, to be still before Him, listen to His still small voice. When things are not working the way you want them to be, wait on God. Adequate knowledge and understanding of the ways of God comes only when you learn how to wait on God patiently. Waiting on God gives us a chance to give thanks to Him. When we wait on God, he does exactly what we asked/ prayed Him to do, and we’ll have an opportunity to thank God for what He’s done. Giving thanks comes after waiting on God.  The person who is waiting on God will see the manifestation of God’s great power. Manifestations come when you wait on God. we only hear from God when we still ourselves, and wait on God.  Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; For us to experience His mighty power, we have to return to our true place, the place that we belong to, the place of absolute and unceasing dependence on God.
