ATM Tanzania Mission

This is a day to day recap of the recent mission to Tanzania by Africa Transformation Mission. First Day In obedience to Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...", the ATM team comprising of Pastor Mary Mugo (the Administrative Pastor), Sam Gitonga (the Youth Leader), John Mulu (the Young Transformers' Leader) and Peter Gikonyo (the Head of the Media Department), set out to Tanzania on 21st August, 2013. A pastor in Tanzania had organized for a three-day crusade and had requested Pastor Mary to minister, who assembled the team according to the leading of the Spirit. The journey was long, so the team had to stop over at Arusha after traveling for 6 hours on the road and spend the night. Through God's favor the pastor who was to host the team in Chela, Kahama (the destination), sent a young lady called Neema to receive the team in Arusha and stay with them, lat

Prayer With Results

Like Paul, we should be determined to get results in what we do, such that he said he does not fight as if he is fighting against the wind (1 Corinthians 9:26). I want to teach you principles of the kingdom of God that when you use them you will walk with courage, expecting results. It is very important for every Christian to pray with an assurance and confidence that when you ask you will receive, as God does not have a problem to answer our prayers. Time has come that we stop opting for short cuts and quick miracles, we do things the Lord's way, for Him to get the glory. It cannot be prayer and waste of time at the same time; it is prayer, fruits and difference. The fruits cannot be hidden; what God will do through prayer cannot be hidden, it will be visible for all to see. When the disciples noticed that all of Jesus' prayers were being answered, they went to Him and asked Him to teach them to pray, and He did. Today let us allow the great Teacher, the Holy Spirit, to

Prayer

At this time, we should remember that the Lord is our Rock and we cannot be shaken. The Lord watches over us at all times.  When I knew what prayer is and the Lord helped me to pray, when the Lord opened my spiritual eyes, I found rest in the Lord. When the world knows Him who we call upon and He answers, they will turn to Him.  When we become people of understanding what prayer is and who our God is, people will look at us in amazement, seeing what the Lord can do. The Lord does great things. When people will realize the power of prayer, and indulge in prayer effectively, they will see wonders.  Jesus did not talk about "if" we pray, He talked about "when" we pray, meaning we do not have an option. Prayer is mandatory, we do not have an option, as Christian.  Prayer is a spiritual act of having communication with God.  Matthew 6:5-7 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corne

Total Surrender Part 2

In the time and season we are in, we cannot afford not to be totally surrendered to God. It’s not by our power that we surrender, not by might, but by the Spirit of God. Our work is to have a will, His is to accomplish the purpose (Philippians 2:12-13). Total surrender calls for you to know that it’s not by your strength, but by His strength.  Total surrender is not only by mere talking, but by action. Faith is by works, not by words only. Faith without works is dead. It's not only by talking. People who only talk and do not do anything are like a bell that is ringing, just making noise, without achieving anything.  After surrendering and committing to surrender, then take a step and by relying on God's Spirit act like you have surrendered. If it is lying, commit to surrender to God to speak the truth and by God's strength stop lying knowing that everything matters, there is neither small lie nor big lie -- it's all wrong. Surrender the tongue. If you have

Total Surrender

The world today is absorbed into what we want, everyone is asking what there is for them. It is time that we surrendered all to God, and ask ourselves what God wants. Surrender is all about giving it all away that we may gain it back. 2 Timothy 3:1-2 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy... Today we are talking about what is the interest of God, that we may surrender totally to Him. Instead of seeking after God solely, people are after seeking that which will benefit them, give them recognition, make them seen, etc., but we must separate ourselves and rise above the ordinary and seek God’s interests, as opposed to ours. Time to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Whatever we get into : job, relationship, pay check, friendship etc., we should ask ourselves what is the interest of God and allow ourselves to b

What He Wants

Esther 2:13-15 Thus prepared, each young woman went to the king, and she was given whatever she desired to take with her from the women's quarters to the king's palace. 14 In the evening she went, and int he morming she returned to the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch who kept the concubines. She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and called for her by name.  15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.  John 4:16-20 Then Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here." 17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,' 18 for you have had five
