For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, 16 Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction. 17 In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man,

God ordained for man to operate for a number of hours, and sleep as a necessity. The body of a man does not like the things of God; the soul of a man loves the things of God, but only to some degree; the spirit of a man is the one that really loves the things of God. God designed it for man to sleep, for Him to speak to man, as the main hindrance of God speaking is the body and the soul. So when the body is out of the way through sleep, God can speak clearly and without hindrance.

Dreams are like video shows; visions are like episodes, or parts of the dreams.

There are two names for the word “will”, as appearing in the Scripture. Boulema will of God, and thelema will of God. Boulema will of God is the ultimate will of God that man cannot thwart, that even prayers cannot even change. For example, the call of God over Jonah was boulema, the instruction and counsel of God that cannot be thwarted and Jonah could not thwart it (Ps. 33:11). Never fight the boulema will of God, it is a waste of time. Not everybody falls inside of the boulema will of God. There are people who, whether they like it or not, have to fall within the will of God, for example Paul. The earlier you learn this, the safer it is for you.

When God found Paul on the road, He told Him that it was Him He was fighting, and told Him that it was useless to kick against the goads (Acts 26:12). Paul was unknowingly fighting against the boulema will of God, and had to be stopped. This is why Jesus told Him that it as hard for Him to kick against the goads. God is a Spirit; He does not have flesh and blood. His words are purified like silver; He considers it 7 times before He speaks it. When He speaks it, it becomes a decree, that cannot be thwarted (Ps. 89:34).

The thelema will of God is dependent on the choice of man. For example, for me to come here, it was a thelema, as even if I refused to come, there is nothing that could have happened to me. But me teaching the word is boulema will of God, as I have to teach, as this is why I was created.

You have too many plans in your head.

Proverbs 19:21

There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.

It is the boulema will of God that will prosper. This is why you planned things last year that you will do this year, and are what you will plan next year to do.

Proverbs 20:24

A man's steps are of the LORD; how then can a man understand his own way?

Man plans, and God cannot get involved in the plans, as if they prosper, the glory goes back to man, instead of going to God.

Jeremiah 10:23

O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

Do not direct your steps. Do not plan many things. If you have planned, take the plans to God, and if He tells you to leave them, please leave them.

Job 33:17

In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man…

Man is proud, which is the other reason why God speaks to man in dreams. Everyone has pride, the difference is the degree. Success and prosperity wake up pride; till then it is asleep. Man is always planning to “arrive” in life, like the rich man in Luke 12:13-21. Man always looks to arrive, while God enjoys the journey. God’s relationship with you is built on the journey, not on the arrival. Do not look to be “set” in life; enjoy the journey. Understand the principles of God; it is not the arrival, it is the journey and process. God loves the journey.

Job 7:17

What is man, that You should exalt him, That You should set Your heart on him, 18 That You should visit him every morning, And test him every moment?

God has been talking to you literally almost every day. The issue is, you might not be listening. God talks every day and gives you direction; He has never left man. God is not speaking through shaking the mountains, or loud voices; He is speaking through the still small voice. Spiritual things are not affected by technology. Technology does not affect how He talks to man; He still speaks to man in silence. The devil affects this by bringing noise, so that you cannot hear God. We are in a natural and fleshly earth; the earth is usually late, always trying to catch up with the things of God. The ball game is in the spiritual realm. Everything is set in heaven, then angels are sent on earth, to reorganize and make things correspond on earth to how things are in heaven. Angels are sent to reorganize things on earth, to correspond to how things are in the spiritual realm. This is why we pray.. Our Father Who art in Heaven… Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Matt. 6:10. God still speaks, and does so through dreams.

Psalm 89:34

My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

Malachi 3:6

“For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

1 Sam 15:29

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

If God wants to catch you, He will, and is so good at it. He is so good that He will get you where He wanted you, when He wanted you, how He wanted you. The best thing to do is to yield, early. Listen to the voice of God in the morning, and yield to it, early. You need to live in a spiritual realm, so that you can know of what is coming. Christians are not supposed to bumping into accidental events. Accidents find you unprepared. If God has not talked to you, check your spiritual barometer, your hearing of God. God always speak, and does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).  Stop living in a natural way. Live ahead, by staying in the word day and night. When you go to talk to God, do not talk to Him your words:

Eccl. 5:1

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.2 Do not be rash with your mouth, and let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.

His words need to me more than yours. Speak His words more. This is the language God needs to hear. The language of heaven is found in the word of God. If you do not know the word of God, what have you been saying? He has exalted His word above His name (Ps. 138:2), which is why when He speaks it becomes a law.

Pain is brought in your life to cook you up until you mature. God does not deal with children. God loves somebody who has matured. Once you grow up, you are ready for work. The process of making you grow up is pain. Pain is necessary. Emotional pain comes for an appointed time, to grow you up.

There are three reasons why God speaks in dreams.

1. So that you can pray and cancel the thing in the dream. There are some things you are to pray and cancel.
2. So that you can be prepared for what is coming. There are dreams that cannot be canceled, even through prayer. You are just being prayed to prepare, they are coming. E.g. the dream of Daniel, of the image of a big statue made of four metals (Daniel 2).
3. God speaks through dreams, to give you instruction. A lot of dreams God is telling you about what is happening right now in your life, and some about your future. Most dreams are about you, you are the main actor in the dream. Understand that God is totally given down to your calling and purpose, so most of the dreams are converged to where you are going, about where you are going, in line with your purpose.

FAQ

1. What does it mean if I dream of going back to school, either primary or secondary, or doing an exam back there or elsewhere?

There are some dreams that will involve your past, either in school etc. This means that God is taking you to a spiritual school, regarding spiritual lessons to be taught. If you dream of an exam in your past, it talks of a spiritual test, that you need to be taken back to take. Exams signify spiritual tests, while schools signify spiritual schools. You are being warned of a test or spiritual school that is coming.

2. What does it mean if I dream of a relative of mine smoking cigarettes, a person I know does not smoke?

If you dream of someone smoking cigarettes or bhang, it signifies a spirit. Cigarettes or bhangs produce smoke, a significance of a tie with the world of witches. As smoke is to cigarettes and bhangs, incense is to smoke, as mentioned in the Bible.

Sometimes when you dream of your brother or relatives, sometimes it is about you, as in the spiritual realm, you are grouped with your family members.

3. What does it mean if I dream of a coffin, with someone I know in it?

Coffins do not always mean natural death. They could mean spiritual death.  

4. What does it mean if I am always seeing dreams, and they come to pass?
1. Should I tell the person I dreamt of, about the dream?

When you see dreams and you see them come to pass, you are a prophet. There is an office of a prophet, and there are prophetic gifts. E.g. Elijah had an office of a prophet. People with gifts of prophecy see things often.

If you have a dream, tell the person about the dream; if you don’t, you will be judged.

Jeremiah 23:28

"The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD.

You have to say it as it is, as God said it in the dream.

5. What does it mean if dream of being fired, at my work place?

If you dream of being sacked, there is a fear of being sacked.

Some dreams of the devil, some from God, some about the businesses of the day, because you thought about something so much (Eccl. 5:3).

6. What does it mean if I dream of driving a vehicle, whereas I do not know how to drive?

God will use a vehicle/car to signify what you are doing in your life, a calling, place of work, gifting, ministry etc. When you see a vehicle and you are the inexperienced driver, it means that you have a gifting or calling of God, and are inexperienced in the gift or calling.

7. What does it mean if I dream of driving eating meat?

Dreams about meat means to the greater part means that you are eating something belonging to demonic forces. Meat comes from an aspect of shedding blood.

8. What does it mean if I find myself with people or in a building, and realize I have seen that same scene before, maybe in a dream, in a sort of déjà vu experience?

When you have dreams on people generally, it is more than the physical beings; it is about the spiritual beings, as men are spiritual beings. God is awakening a spiritual hearing in you, so that you are always ahead. This is why you can dream and then you see the thing in the physical, it’s like a déjà vu; it means you were not attentive the first time, when God spoke to you. God is awakening you. When it happens twice, it means that there is a witness that you are really not paying attention the first time God spoke to you. 2 is a number of witness, meaning something you dreamt about will surely come to pass.

9. What does it mean if I dream of snakes?

Dreams of snakes are significance of devils, demons and so on. Snakes are evil.

10. What does it mean if I dream of dogs chasing children in an institution I work at?

Dreams of dogs signify immorality, and when you dream of dogs chasing people it signifies a spirit of rape chasing people, or soon coming where you work. Dogs are risky spiritual spirits, that signify a spirit of immorality.

Deut. 23:18

You shall not bring the wages of a harlot or the price of a dog to the house of the Lord your God for any vowed offering, for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God.

11. What does it mean if I dream of someone I know dying, and then soon after we start celebrating in a sort of a party?

Dreams of people dead and resurrecting signify death to sin, and resurrection to the gifting of God. The celebration is one signifying victory over sin or something that was hindering the person from operating in the gifting of God.

12. What does it mean if I dream of walking into a church, that has thorns?

Thorns in a dream mean the cares of this world (Matt. 13:22). Thorns in a church mean the cares of this world in a church.

13. What does it mean if I dream of myself being in a house that has no roof, or is incomplete?

Dreams about unfinished houses or ones without a roof signify unfinished buildings or foundations in a person’s life.

14. What does it mean if I have sexual dreams with someone I had sexual relations with in the past?

People you had sexual relations with, and have a dream about, could be exposing soul ties with people had in the past, that need to be broken. They can end up in wet dreams, as the soul is still very wretched and rotten, and needs to be delivered. When this happens, it is an indication or revelation that you need to break off soulish ties with that person.

15. What does it mean if I dream of taking off in an airplane?

Dreams of flights signify that your gifts are about to take off.

16. If my child always dreams and screams in their dreams, can this be treated using herbal medicine?

When you dream and always scream in your dream, it cannot be treated with herbal medicine. Herbal is physical, dreams are spiritual. Spiritual is solved through spiritual means.

17. What does it mean if I dream of people rising and floating up from building, going towards heaven?

When you dream that people are rising up from buildings or vehicles, it signifies rapture, and is a message that Jesus is coming back soon again.

As you are praying, even about dreams, submit to the will of God, the author and finisher of your faith. It is not about the magnitude of words you speak, it is about the state of the heart (James 5:16). Prayer is more than just telling God things; meditating on the word of God is prayer also, allowing God to speak to you. When you get a dream, go back to the Giver of the dream, so that you will live guilt-free.
